FAQs//

  • I take a hybrid approach, depending on how we all flow. My background in portraiture means I know how to guide you gently into natural, flattering light and connection, but I also know when to step back and let the moment unfold. Some moments call for structure, others call for freedom.

Check out [this journal entry] for more on how I approach portraits.

  • It’s music to my ears when a couple says, “We trust you, do whatever you think is best.” That trust allows for real magic to happen. I love working with people who value photography as a record of the day and a way to hold the moments close forever.

  • Weddings are stories within stories—important characters, tiny details, rituals, emotions, and unexpected beauty. Life unfolds before our eyes in a blur of emotion, and I get the honor of slowing it all down through my lens. If that’s not real-life magic, I don’t know what is.

I also think of my sweet grandparents. Their wedding album lives in my office, and I can feel their love radiating from the photographs every time I look at it. Those images have become part of our family’s story and legacy. That’s the power of photography, and it’s why I care so deeply about what I do.

  • I sure do—and they’re one of my favorite things to photograph. Engagement sessions are a chance to document your everyday self in a natural and meaningful setting. It's also the perfect time to get a feel for how I work and read the light, energy, and your dynamic together to create images that feel like you.

  • You’re always welcome to add a second professional photographer to your wedding. I’m happy to advise whether your coverage would benefit from one, and I hand-pick second shooters whose style complements mine seamlessly. If you have specific questions about what that looks like, I’d love to walk you through it.

  • I was trained as an editor in Los Angeles, working for a wedding and portrait photographer, and it’s still a part of the process I absolutely love. I hand-edited every single image in your wedding collection. Retouching or cosmetic edits are available for an additional fee and are included complimentary with any heirloom albums or prints ordered through me.

  • I grew up with film and still love it. I photograph weddings digitally, but 35mm film is available as an add-on if you're drawn to that nostalgic texture and tone.

  • As soon as you know and you’re ready, reach out. I take a limited number of weddings each year to give each one the care it deserves.

  • After our initial chat, a signed agreement and retainer payment are all needed to secure your date. Then we’re officially official!

  • Absolutely! I’d love to share a few full galleries with you. Just send me a quick email, and I’ll send some real wedding stories that align with your vibe.
